Cricket

CRICKET......First of all what is cricket for me? i am an indian and in india cricket is religion and i come under this riligion. It is a game who collects all the country during a match. no matter who is hindu, who is muslim who is sikh and who is christan . Everyone only pray for win of india. When i was kid i saw my first match india vs. austrelia in sarjah . From that day i understand cricket and loved it so much  and one more intersted thing i saw a man which was Sachin tendulkar.
I love this game from that day and Sachin became my favourite player.i did many bunks from school and college for match.I am always very crazy about this game. i am not intersted only to watch this game on television but i also enjoy this game when i play this with my friends. The religion of cricket has no holy books but there are several Gods. From legendary players like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, all have been extremely popular in India. “If cricket is the religion, Sachin is God” has become a popular saying in world.
There are 14 teams in cricket but indian team is my favourite one and my faourite batsman sachin tendulkar.
sachin tendulkar:-
In 2004, when India toured Pakistan, I finally watched Sachin live in a game at Rawalpindi. Pakistan had amassed 329 and Sachin predictably was the only thing standing between them and victory. Even though he scored a brisk 141, I remember feeling that he was batting below his best; such was the talent of the man that even when he achieved scarcely believable feats, one always felt he had not just yet unleashed his full might.  I remained anxious however to soak in every moment of him batting, the majesty of his presence.
I was enthralled by how Sachin continually attacked the common enemy, Australia. An innings in the Champions Trophy 2000 captured the imagination. On a seaming wicket, as Glenn McGrath charged in with his usual immaculate line, Sachin decided that he would not let him dominate. Highlights of this innings are astonishing; Sachin is running down the wicket to length balls that are seaming away from him and flat-batting them over the covers.

In the middle of the exchange, there is even a subtle shake of the head from McGrath as if to acknowledge the genius of the man before him.
There are 3 formats in cricket tests, one day and t-20.
Tests matches:-
Test cricket is the longest form of the sport of cricket. Test matches are played between national representative teams with "Test status", as determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The two teams of 11 players play a four-innings match, which often lasts up to five days. It is generally considered the most complete examination of teams' playing ability and endurance. The origin of the name Test stems from the long, gruelling match being a "test" of the relative strength of the two sides. First test played for six days but after that it remained for five days.

One day matches:-
A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, usually fifty. The Cricket World Cup is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. In past it was 60 overs matches but after it became 50 over matches.

T-20 matches :- Twenty20 cricket, often abbreviated to T20, is a form of cricket originally introduced in England and Wales for professional inter-county competition by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), in 2003. A Twenty20 game involves two teams, each has a single innings, batting for a maximum of 20 overs.
A Twenty20 game is completed in about three hours, with each innings lasting around 75–90 minutes (with a 10–20-minute interval), thus bringing the game closer to the timespan of other popular team sports. It was introduced to create a lively form of the game which would be attractive to spectators at the ground and viewers on television and as such it has been very successful. The ECB did not intend that Twenty20 would replace other forms of cricket and these have continued alongside it.

World Cup :-The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket World Cup. It was played in India, Sri Lanka, and (for the first time) Bangladesh. Pakistan was also scheduled to be a co-host, but after the 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team in Lahore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) cancelled that, and the headquarters of the organising committee, originally in Lahore, was transferred to Mumbai.Pakistan was to have held 14 matches, including one semi-final. Eight of the games (including the semi-final) were awarded to India, four to Sri Lanka, and two to Bangladesh.
All the matches were One Day Internationals, and all were played over 50 overs. Fourteen national cricket teams took part, including ten full members and four associate members of the ICC. The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, and the tournament was played between 19 February and 2 April. The first match was played between India and Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The final was between India and Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
India won the tournament, defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the final in Mumbai, thus becoming the first country to win the Cricket World Cup final on home soil.India's Yuvraj Singh was declared the man of the tournament. This was the first time in World Cup history that two Asian teams had appeared in the final. It was also the first time since the 1992 World Cup that the final match did not feature Australia.

Celebration in india when india won the world cup 2011 was like a festival.
